Applied Compute Raises $80M to Help Enterprises Advance from Generalized to Specific Intelligence

Models keep getting smarter, but there's a massive gap between raw intelligence and actual productivity on specific tasks inside companies. Delivering real value requires knowing how to perform those tasks with the right context, standards, workflows, and judgment.

Frontier models are like brilliant strangers: they aren't built with your data, they don’t understand how your business works, and they can’t improve automatically on the problems that matter most.

We started Applied Compute with the belief that your intelligence should be specific to your enterprise and owned by you.

Our mission is to close the gap between smart and useful with Specific Intelligence: proprietary agents trained on the reality of how a company operates and designed to continuously improve.

We’ve learned from working with enterprises across the F500 that deep, accumulated context is what separates a smart agent from one trusted to do real work.

We help companies unlock their institutional context, train agents against their specific workflows and performance criteria, and deploy those back into production alongside their human experts. From there, every decision feeds back into training, refining agent judgment until they’re trusted and capable enough to operate autonomously. Everything runs within the company's own secure environment, under their control.

Today, we’re announcing $80 million in new financing at a $1.3 billion post-money valuation, led by Kleiner Perkins with continued participation from Elad Gil, Lux, Greenoaks, Neo, Hanabi, and more. This brings our total funding to $160 million.

A rising tide lifts all boats, but organizations that pull ahead will be the ones that compound their own intelligence on top of an ever-rising baseline, building agent workforces that get sharper every week because they’re learning from real experience. Our purpose is to provide the infrastructure and expertise to make that possible.

If you believe in this future, you should join us.
